야사카 신사

1100년 이상의 전통을 가진 기온마츠리가 너무나 유명한 야사카신사.천 수백 년 전에 창건되어 역병, 해산의 신으로 신앙을 모으고 있다. 현재에도"기온사마"의 이름으로 불리고 있다. 창사에 대해 여러 가지 설이 있으나 656년 고려, 조선왕조 때 온 사신이 일본신화의 신 스사노오노미코토를 야사카신사 부근에 모신 것에서 유래되었다고 한다. 국가중요문화재로 지정된 본전과 서쪽 누문은 장관이다.

Yasaka Shrine

Yasaka Shrine, once called Gion Shrine, is a Shinto shrine in the Gion District of Kyoto, Japan. Situated at the east end of Shijō-dōri (Fourth Avenue), the shrine includes several buildings, including gates, a main hall and a stage.
