콘스탄티누스 기둥

콘스탄티누스 기둥은 서기 330년 콘스탄티누스 대제가 콘스탄티노플을 동로마제국의 새로운 수도로 정하면서 이를 기념하기 위해 세운 기념탑이다. 철에 둘러싸여 있는 돌이라는 뜻의 챔블리타쉬 기둥이라고도 불린다.

Column of Constantine

The Column of Constantine, also known as the Burnt Stone or the Burnt Pillar, is a Roman monumental column constructed on the orders of the Roman emperor Constantine the Great in 330 AD. It commemorates the declaration of Byzantium (renamed by Constantine as Nova Roma) as the new capital city of the Roman Empire.
