몰운대 (부산 사하구)

몰운대는 낙동강 끝자락에 위치하는 곳으로 바다에서 몰운대를 바라보면 학이 날아가는 형상을 하고 있다. 해류의 영향으로 안개와 구름이 많아 섬이 보이지 않는다 하여 몰운대(沒雲臺)라는 이름을 가지고 있으며 임진왜란 때 이순신 장군의 선봉장으로 이 곳 앞바다에서 전사한 녹도만호 정운 장군이 몰운대의 ‘운’자가 이름의 ‘운’과 음이 같음을 들어 “내가 여기서 장렬하게 왜놈들과 싸우다 죽을 것이다.” 라고 하였다는 고사가 전해지기도 한다.

Molundae

Molundae, a headland covered by a forest of Japanese black pine, interspersed with rocks and stones of fantastic shapes, boasts a sandy beach of outstanding beauty. The spectacular sight of the flaming sunset seen from Molundae is particularly famous. There are also some historical sites in Mulunpo, such as the monument to Jeongunkong, who was killed in action in a marine battle near Busanpo in which Admiral Yi Sun-shin scored his famous victory over the Japanese in no small part due to the contribution INFORMATION of Jeongunkong
