답십리 고미술상가

답십리에는 1970년대부터 고미술 상가들이 있었다. 1980년대 초 청계천을 개발하면서 상가가 형성되기 시작했다. 청계천 주변 황학동이나 아현동, 이태원 등지에 퍼져 있던 고미술 상가들이 하나 둘 모여들기 시작했던 것이다. 답십리고 미술상가는 지하철 답십리역이나 장한평역에서 지척이다. 사람키의 두세 배는 족히 될 석상에서 손바닥만한 장신구까지 고미술품들이 거리를 점령하고 있다. 제법 덩치가 큰 고가구, 문창살, 불상부터 시작하여 벼루, 맷돌, 화로, 놋그릇 같은 생활용품에 이르기까지 종류도 다양하다.

Dapsimni Antique Fine Arts Street

Dapsimni Antique Art Street is where travelers can stumble upon valuable old paintings, antique furniture and pottery as well as a variety of household items. These antique shops used to be scattered throughout the area of Cheonggyecheon Stream 8(pal)-ga, Itaewon, and Ahyeon-dong, but have gathered up within Dapsimni area since the mid-1980s. There are approximately 140 shops lined up along the streets.
