중앙시장

통영 중앙시장은 400여 년의 역사를 간직하고 있는 유서 깊은 곳으로 시장 뒷편 언덕은 동양의 몽마르트라 불리는 동피랑이 자리하고, 시장 바로 앞 바다는 강구안이라고 부르는 포구에는 거북선과 어선들이 정박하고 있으며 널찍한 문화마당은 옛날 조선통제영시절에 군점하던 병선마당을 연상케 한다.

Joongang Market

With almost 400 years of history, Tongyeong Jungang Market is a popular tourist spot in the city of Tongyeong, attracting tourists during weekends and even on weekdays. The market is located next to Dongpirang Village. In front of the market is Gangguan Port where a turtle ship (geobukseon) and fishing boats are docked.
