김일성 (金日成, 1912-1994)

김일성은 조선민주주의인민공화국의 초대 최고지도자였다. 1948년 9월 9일부터 1972년 12월까지 조선민주주의인민공화국의 내각 수상을 지냈고 1972년 12월 28일부터 1994년 7월 8일 사망전까지 조선민주주의인민공화국의 최고지도자를 지냈다.

Kim Ilsung (1912-1994)

Kim Il-sung was the founder of North Korea, which he ruled from the country's establishment in 1948 until his death in 1994. He held the posts of Premier from 1948 to 1972 and President from 1972 to 1994. He was also the leader of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) from 1949 to 1994. Coming to power after the end of Japanese rule in 1945, he authorized the invasion of South Korea in 1950, triggering an intervention in defense of South Korea by the United Nations led by the United States.
