트레비 분수

트레비 분수는 로마에 현존하는 가장 큰 규모의 분수이다. 높이는 25.9m, 너비는 19.8m이다. 바로크 양식으로 지어진 것으로는 예술성이 가장 뛰어나다는 평을 받고 있기도 하다. 트레비 분수에 동전을 던지는 것은 오랜 전통으로 남아있다. 이 분수에 동전을 던지면 소원이 이루어진다고 믿거나 언젠가 다시 로마에 오게 된다고 믿는 전통이 있다고 한다. 오른손에 동전 세 개를 들고 왼쪽 어깨 너머로 던지면 행운이 온다는 말도 있다.

Trevi Fountain

The Trevi Fountain is a fountain in the Trevi district in Rome, Italy, designed by Italian architect Nicola Salvi and completed by Giuseppe Pannini. Standing 26.3m high and 49.15m wide, it is the largest Baroque fountain in the city and one of the most famous fountains in the world. The fountain has appeared in several notable films, including Federico Fellini's La Dolce Vita, the eponymous Three Coins in the Fountain, and Roman Holiday.
