이태석 (1962-2010)
이태석은 대한민국의 살레시오회 소속 사제 겸 의사로 아프리카 수단 남부의 와랍 주에 있는 마을인 톤즈에서 교육 활동과 의료 활동을 펼치다가 2008년 11월 한국에 휴가차 입국하였을 때, 대장암 4기를 진단받아 톤즈로 돌아가지 못하고 2010년 1월 14일 암투병 끝에 선종하였다.
