신채호 (1880-1936)

신채호는 한국의 독립운동가이자 사회주의적 아나키스트, 사학자이다. 구한 말부터 언론 계몽운동을 하다 망명, 1919년 대한민국 임시정부에 참여하였으나 견해 차이로 임정을 탈퇴, 국민대표자회의 소집과 무정부주의 단체에 가담하여 활동했으며, 사서 연구에 몰두하기도 했다.

Sin Chaeho (1880-1936)

Sin Chaeho was a Korean independence activist, historian, anarchist, nationalist, and a founder of Korean ethnic nationalist historiography. He is held in high esteem in both North and South Korea. Two of his works, A New Reading of History (Doksa Sillon), written in 1908, and The Early History of Joseon, published in 1931, are considered key works of nationalist historiography in modern Korea.
