신성일 (1937-2018)

1960~1970년대 충무로의 상징적인 미남이자 한 시대를 풍미한 영화배우로 활동했으며, 제16대 국회의원을 역임했다. 그는 1960년"로맨스 빠빠"로 영화계에 데뷔했다. 이후 "맨발의 청춘"을 비롯한 수편의 청춘 멜로 영화에 배우 엄앵란과 주연을 맡아 큰 인기를 누렸다. 그 후 1964년 엄앵란과 결혼하였으나 이후 본격 성향 별거했으나 이혼하지는 않았으며, 경상북도 영천에 자신의 이름을 딴 성일가를 지어 살았다.

Shin Seongil (1937-2018)

Shin Seong-il was a South Korean actor, film director, producer, and former politician. A legendary actor with 500 films in over 40 years, Shin debuted in director Shin Sang-ok's 1960 film A Romantic Papa and rose to fame through popular youth titles. A star in the 1960s and 1970s, however, his status as one of Korea's top actors extended well into the 1980s.
