포석정

포석정(鮑石亭)은 경상북도 경주시 배동에 있는 신라의 별궁이 있던 자리로, 대한민국의 사적 제1호이다. 건물은 없어지고 석조구조물만 남아 있다. 남북국시대에 만들어진 것으로 추정되며, 자연환경을 최대로 활용하고 주위의 아름다운 경관에 인공적인 기술을 가미하여 이룩한 조화미는 신라 궁원기술(宮苑技術)의 독특한 면모를 보여 주고 있다고 평가된다.

Poseokjeong

The Poseokjeong site near Namsan in Gyeongju, Gyeongsangbuk-do South Korea, was built in the Unified Silla period. The site once featured a royal pavilion — said to have been the most beautiful royal villa of the time — but the only remains today is a granite water feature. This abalone-shaped watercourse highlights the importance of water in traditional Korean gardens.
