우피치 미술관

우피치 미술관은 피렌체를 대표하는 미술관이자 세계에서 가장 중요한 르네상스 미술관 가운데 하나다. 16세기 메디치 가문의 코시모 1세가 행정 관청으로 사용하기 위해 건립을 시작한 건물로, '우피치(Uffizi)'는 이탈리아어로 '사무실' 또는 '관청'을 뜻한다. 이후 메디치 가문이 수집한 방대한 예술품을 전시하는 공간으로 발전하면서 오늘날 세계적인 미술관이 되었다. 우피치 미술관은 중세부터 르네상스에 이르는 서양 미술의 걸작들을 가장 풍부하게 소장하고 있는 곳으로 산드로 보티첼리의 〈비너스의 탄생〉과 〈봄(프리마베라)〉, 레오나르도 다 빈치, 미켈란젤로, 라파엘로, 카라바조, 티치아노 등 거장들의 대표작을 한자리에서 감상할 수 있어 르네상스 미술의 보고로 불린다. 또한 메디치 가문이 수집한 고대 그리스·로마 조각상들도 함께 전시되어 있어 서양 미술의 발전 과정을 한눈에 살펴볼 수 있다. 건물 자체도 뛰어난 르네상스 건축물로 조르조 바사리가 설계한 긴 복도와 아르노강을 내려다보는 창문, 웅장한 전시 공간은 예술 작품과 조화를 이루며 독특한 분위기를 자아낸다. 우피치 미술관은 인접한 베키오 궁전과 피티 궁전을 연결하는 바사리 회랑과도 이어져 있어 메디치 가문의 권력과 예술 후원의 역사를 보여주는 중요한 문화유산이다.

The Birth of Venus

The Birth of Venus is a painting by the Italian artist Sandro Botticelli probably made in the mid 1480s. It depicts the goddess Venus arriving at the shore after her birth, when she had emerged from the sea fully-grown (called Venus Anadyomene and often depicted in art). The painting is in the Uffizi Gallery in Florence, Italy.

봄 (보티첼리)

Annunciation is a painting by the Italian Renaissance artists Leonardo da Vinci and Andrea del Verrocchio, dating from circa 1472–1475. It is housed in the Uffizi gallery of Florence, Italy.

Venus of Urbino

The Venus of Urbino (also known as Reclining Venus) is an oil painting by the Italian painter Titian, which seems to have been begun in 1532 or 1534, and was perhaps completed in 1534, but not sold until 1538. It depicts a nude young woman, traditionally identified with the goddess Venus, reclining on a couch or bed in the sumptuous surroundings of a Renaissance palace. It is now in the Galleria degli Uffizi in Florence.
