나츠메소세키 산방기념관

2017년 9월 24일에 '신주쿠구립 소세키산방기념관'이 신주쿠에서 오픈했다. 근대 일본을 대표하는 소설가 나츠메소세키가 “마음”을 비롯한 수많은 명작을 집필한 옛집 '소세키산방'의 일부가 재현되어 있으며 서재나 응접실, 베란다식 복도 등 소세키가 거주하면서 집필했던 공간을 견학할 수 있다.

나쓰메 소세키 (1867-1916)

나쓰메 소세키는 일본의 소설가이자 평론가, 영문학자이다. 본명은 나쓰메 긴노스케이다. '나는 고양이로소이다', '마음', '산시로' , '도련님' 등의 작품으로 널리 알려져있으며, 모리 오가이와 더불어 메이지 시대의 대문호로 꼽힌다. 소설, 수필, 하이쿠, 한시 등 여러 장르에 걸쳐 다양한 작품을 남겼다.

Natsume Sōseki (1867-1916)

Natsume Sōseki was a Japanese novelist. He is best known for his novels Kokoro, Botchan, I Am a Cat and his unfinished work Light and Darkness. He was also a scholar of British literature and composer of haiku, kanshi, and fairy tales. From 1984 until 2004, his portrait appeared on the front of the Japanese 1000 yen note. In Japan, he is often considered the greatest writer in modern Japanese history.
