로마 극장

로마 극장은 고대 로마 시대에 건설 된 반원형 극장으로, 그나이우스 폼페이우스 마그누스가 고대 그리스 극장의 특징의 대부분을 도입하고 폼페이우스 극장을 건설한 것이 시작이다. 로마는 그리스에서 건축의 영향을 많이 받았으며, 극장 디자인도 그런 측면에서 다른 건축물과 전혀 다르지 않다.

Roman theatres derive from and are part of the overall evolution of earlier Greek theatres. Indeed, much of the architectural influence on the Romans came from the Greeks, and theatre structural design was no different from other buildings.

아스펜도스 국제 오페라 발레 축제

아스펜도스 국제 오페라 발레 축제는 매년 아스펜도스 로마 원형 극장에서 열린다. 원형극장 가운데서 노래를 하면 관객석 끝까지 전달이 될 만큼 뛰어난 음향효과를 자랑한다. 2,000년 역사를 지녔음에도 현재까지 옛 모습 그대로 복원, 보존되고 있어 매년 국제 오페라 발레 페스티벌을 보기 위해 세계 각지에서 8만여 명의 관광객들이 이곳을 찾는다.

Aspendos International Opera and Ballet Festival

The Aspendos International Opera and Ballet Festival (in Turkish: Aspendos Uluslararası Opera ve Bale Festivali) has been organized by the Turkish State Opera and Ballet directorate since 1994 with international participation by opera and ballet companies from several different countries.
