카메하메하 1세 (1736?-1819)

카메하메하 1세는 하와이 왕국의 초대 군주로, 하와이 제도에 최초로 통일된 국가를 세운 군주이다. 1810년에 하와이 제도 전체를 통일하였고, 영국식 성문법과 하와이 제도 原주민들의 관습에 기초한 성문 법률을 제정하였다.

Kamehameha I (1736?-1819)

Kamehameha I was the founder and first ruler of the Kingdom of Hawaii. A statue of him was given to the National Statuary Hall Collection in Washington, D.C. by the state of Hawaii as one of two statues it is entitled to give.

이올라니 궁전

이올라니 궁전(-宮殿)은 미국 하와이주(州) 오아후섬 호놀룰루에 있는 궁전이다. 하와이에 있기는 하지만, 법률적으로 미국 영토에 위치한 유일한 궁전이기도 하다.

ʻIolani Palace

The ʻIolani Palace was the royal residence of the rulers of the Kingdom of Hawaii beginning with Kamehameha III under the Kamehameha Dynasty (1845) and ending with Queen Liliʻuokalani (1893) under the Kalākaua Dynasty, founded by her brother, King David Kalākaua.
