니지노마쓰바라

마쓰바라란 소나무 숲을 의미하는 것으로 가라쓰시의 니지노마쓰바라는 무지개의 호 모양을 닮은 것으로 인해 붙여진 이름이다. 일본 3대 소나무 숲 중 하나로 국가 특별 명승지로도 지정되었는데 원래 가라쓰 초대 번주 데라사와 히로타카가 방풍·방조림으로서 조성한 것으로, 길이 5km, 폭 1km로, 약 100만 그루의 소나무가 이어진 숲이다.

Nijinomatsubara

Nijinomatsubara is a 360-year-old pine forest in Karatsu, Saga. It has a width of 400-700m, a length of about 4km, and a total area of 240 hectares. It was also referred as The Black Pine Forest of 1 Million Trees, however this name is uncommon today.
