인민공원은 상해 행정문화 중심지에 자리 잡고 있으며, 초기에는 상해 승마장의 일부분 이였으나, 그 이후 여러 차례 복구 되어 현 인민광장이 만들어졌다. 현재 인민공원은 비록 옛모습은 가지고 있지는 않지만 녹색나무들이 무성하고 물과 돌과 식물들이 서로 조화를 잘 이루고 있다.

People's Park (Shanghai)

People's Park is a public park in Huangpu District of central Shanghai, China. It is located south of Nanjing Road, a major shopping street, and north of People's Square. Originally the northern part of the Shanghai Race Club's race course, the park was created in 1952. With several major museums and Shanghai's main shopping street nearby, it is one of the top tourist destinations in the city.
