올린다 역사 지구

16세기 포르투갈 인들이 건설한 올린다(Olinda)의 역사지구는 사탕수수 산업과 밀접한 연관이 있었다. 네덜란드의 습격을 받아 파괴된 후 다시 건설된 이 도시의 기본 구조는 18세기에 정립되었다. 도시 곳곳에 남아 있는 식민지 시대의 아름다운 건축물과 정원, 20개에 이르는 바로크 양식의 성당, 수녀원과 작은 규모의 예배당들이 어우러져 빼어난 조화를 이루고 있다.

Olinda, is a historic city in the Brazilian state of Pernambuco, located on the country's northeastern Atlantic Ocean coast, in Greater Recife (capital of Pernambuco State). It has a population of 389,494 people, covers 41.681 square kilometres (16.093 sq mi), and has a population of 9 inhabitants per square kilometer. It is noted as one of the best-preserved colonial cities in Brazil.
