합천 해인사 장경판전

해인사 장경판전은 국보 제52호로, 해인사에 딸린 건물의 하나이다. 해인사 경내에는 대소의 많은 법당이 있으나 그 대부분은 근세에 세워진 것이고 장경판전만이 조선 초기에 세워진 것이다. 임진왜란 때에도 무사하였으나 오랜 세월에 낡아진 것을 광해군 14년(1622)에 수다라장을 중수하고 1624년에는 법보전도 중수하였다.

Tripitaka Koreana

The Tripiṭaka Koreana or Palman Daejanggyeong is a Korean collection of the Tripiṭaka, carved onto 81,258 wooden printing blocks in the 13th century. The Tripiṭaka Koreana was designated a National Treasure of South Korea in 1962, and inscribed in the UNESCO Memory of the World Register in 2007.
