안동소주

안동소주(경상북도 무형문화재 제12호 · 전통식품 명인 20호)는 알코올 도수가 45도 순곡 증류주로 신라시대에 그 기원을 두고 있다. 안동인이 1,200년간 즐겨오던 안동소주가 유명해지기 시작은 것은 1986년 아시안 게임과 1988년 올림픽으로 거슬러 올라간다. 아시안 게임과 올림픽을 전후하여 정부는 적극적으로 민속주 발굴에 힘썼다.

Andong Soju

Andong Soju Museum was established in 1995 to promote and hand down the history and cultural characteristics of Andong Soju (Gyeongsangbuk-do Intangible Heritage No. 12). The museum mainly displays the origin of Andong soju, the production process, Korean folk alcoholic drinks, the lineage of alcohol, and bottles and cups throughout history.
