피카소 미술관(앙티브)

'그리말디 성'으로 불리는 피카소 미술관은 17세기에 이 지역에서 세력을 자랑하던 그리말디가의 성채였다. 성채는 1928년 이후에는 시립 박물관으로 사용되었다. 1946년 9월 중순부터 11월 중순까지 2달 동안 피카소는 이 건물에 작업실을 두고 수많은 작품을 만들어 냈다. 그는 이곳을 떠날 때 시 당국에 이곳에서그린 작품의 대부분을 영구 대여 했고 1966년 피카소 미술관을 개관하였다.

Musee Picasso (Antibes)

n 1608 it became a stronghold of the Grimaldi family and has borne their name ever since. In 1702 it became the town hall of Antibes. From 1925 the chateau was known as the Grimaldi Museum. In 1946 it was the home for six months of the artist Pablo Picasso. Today the museum is known as the Picasso Museum, the first museum in the world to be dedicated to the artist.
