Hattusa
Hattusa was the capital of the Hittite Empire in the late Bronze Age. Its ruins lie near modern Boğazkale, Turkey, within the great loop of the Kızılırmak River. Hattusa was added to the UNESCO World Heritage list in 1986.

히타이트 (BC.16C-BC.1180)
히타이트는 고대 근동의 청동기 시대(3300~1200 BC) 중 기원전 18세기경에 아나톨리아 북중부의 하투샤를 중심으로 형성된 왕국으로, 히타이트어는 인도-유럽어족에 속한다고 추측된다. 히타이트 제국은 기원전 14세기경에 아나톨리아의 대부분, 시리아 북서부(레반트의 북부), 남쪽으로는 리타니 강의 하구(지금의 레바논)까지, 동쪽으로는 메소포타미아 북부까지 장악하였다. 히타이트의 군대는 전쟁시에 전차를 잘 사용했던 것으로 유명하다.

Hittites (BC.16C-BC.1180)
The Hittites were an Anatolian people who played an important role in establishing an empire centered on Hattusa in north-central Anatolia around 1600 BC. This empire reached its height during the mid-14th century BC under Suppiluliuma I, when it encompassed an area that included most of Anatolia as well as parts of the northern Levant and Upper Mesopotamia.
