안창호 (1878.11.9-1938.3.10)

안창호는 대한제국의 교육개혁운동가 겸 애국계몽운동가이자 일제 강점기의 독립운동가, 교육자, 정치가이다. 그는 생전에 흥사단, 대한인국민회 등 재미한인단체를 조직, 주관하였고, 1919년 4월부터 대한민국 임시정부 수립에 참여, 주도하였다.

Ahn Changho (1878.11.9-1938.3.10)

Ahn Changho, sometimes An Chang-ho was a Korean independence activist and one of the early leaders of the Korean-American immigrant community in the United States. He is also referred to as his pen name Dosan.

도산공원

서울시 강남구 신사동에 자리한 근린공원이다. 1970년 3월 10일 박정희 전 대통령은 도산 안창호 선생이 이 나라 자주와 독립을 위해 바친 위대한 애국정신과 민중의 교화를 위한 교육정신을 국민의 귀감으로 삼게 하고자 도산공원을 조성할 것을 지시한다.

Dosan Park

Dosan Park was built up in 1973 to pay tribute to Dosan An Changho’s patriotism. Dosan An Changho’s tomb was moved here from Manguri Public Cemetery as well as his wife, Lee Hyeryen, whose tomb was moved from Los Angeles.
