제주민속촌은 조선말인 1890년대를 기준 연대로 삼아 제주 전래의 민속자료를 총체적으로 정리하여 전시하고 있다. 제주의 민속 문화가 제대로 보존되어 있으며, 우리의 꽃과 나무를 한눈에 보고, 세계문화의 유사성과 차별성을 비교해 볼 수 있는 문화공간이다.
