한반도지형

삼면이 바다로 둘러싸인 한반도의 모습을 그대로 옮겨 놓은 듯한 풍경으로 서강변에 자리잡고 있다. 다만 바다를 강이 대신하여 흐르고 동쪽이 높은 절벽에 나무가 울창한 반면 서쪽은 경사가 완만한 평지에 가깝다. 또한 북쪽으로는 백두산, 남쪽으로 포항의 호미곶과도 같은 산과 곶이 오묘하게 자리하는 등 거의 완벽하게 우리나라 지형을 닮았다.

Korean Peninsula-shaped Cliffs

Seonam Village is a small town located on the banks of the Seogang River in Ongjeong-ri, Seo-myeon, Yeongwol-gun, Gangwon-do province. The village is famous for its land formation that is shaped like the Korean Peninsula, due to the river snaking around the village forming an outline in the shape of the peninsula.
