뤽상부르 정원

파리 시민은 물론 관광객들에게도 매우 유명한 뤽상부르 정원(jardin du Luxembourg)은 파리 시민들의 라이프 스타일을 잘 느낄 수 있는 장소이다. 자연, 예술, 스포츠, 휴식, 즐길 거리 등...다양한 요소가 복합적으로 구성되어 있다. 마리 드 메디치(Marie de Médicis)를 위해 건축된 뤽상부르 궁전의 정원으로 프랑스식 정원이다. 마리 드 메디치는 프랑소와 드 뤽상부르 공작의 영토였던 이곳을 1612년 사들였다.

Luxembourg Gardens

Luxembourg Gardens is located in the 6th arrondissement of Paris, France. It was created beginning in 1612 by Marie de' Medici, the widow of King Henry IV of France, for a new residence she constructed, the Luxembourg Palace. The garden today is owned by the French Senate, which meets in the Palace.
