보스포루스 해협

보스포루스 해협은 흑해와 마르마라 해를 잇고, 아시아와 유럽을 나누는 터키의 해협이다. 길이는 30 km이며, 폭은 가장 좁은 곳이 750m이다. 깊이는 36 에서 120m 사이이다. 오랫동안 군사적인 요충지로 알려져 왔고, 18세기 이후에는 다르다넬스 해협과 함께 해협의 항행권을 둘러싼 '해협문제'로 세계의 관심을 끌었다.

Bosporus

The Bosporus or Bosphorus also known as The Strait of Istanbul; Turkish: İstanbul Boğazı, is a narrow, natural strait and an internationally significant waterway located in northwestern Turkey. It forms part of the continental boundary between Europe and Asia, and separates Asian Turkey from European Turkey.
