지그문트 프로이트 (1856-1939)

지그문트 프로이트는 오스트리아의 정신과 의사이자 정신분석학의 창시자이다. 프로이트는 무의식과 억압의 방어 기제에 대한 이론, 그리고 환자와 정신분석자의 대화를 통하여 정신 병리를 치료하는 정신분석학적 임상 치료 방식을 창안한 것으로 매우 유명하다.

Sigmund Freud (1856-1939)

Sigmund Freud was an Austrian neurologist and the founder of psychoanalysis, a clinical method for treating psychopathology through dialogue between a patient and a psychoanalyst. Freud was born to Galician Jewish parents in the Moravian town of Freiberg, in the Austrian Empire. He qualified as a doctor of medicine in 1881 at the University of Vienna.

Sigmund Freud Museum

The Sigmund Freud Museum in Vienna is a museum founded in 1971 covering Sigmund Freud's life story. It is located in the Alsergrund district, at Berggasse 19. In 2003 the museum was put in the hands of the newly established Sigmund Freud Foundation, which has since received the entire building as an endowment. It also covers the history of psychoanalysis.
