바츨라프 광장
바츨라프 광장은 폭 60m, 길이 750m의 거대한 대로 형태로, 과거에는 마시장이 열리던 곳이었지만 20세기에 들어서며 체코 민주화의 성지로 변모했다. 1968년 소련군의 침공에 대항하여 민주화를 요구했던 '프라하의 봄' 과 1989년 공산 정권을 무너뜨린 평화적인 벨벳 혁명이 바로 이 광장에서 시작되었다. 광장 상단, 국립박물관 앞에 위치한 체코의 수호성인 바츨라프 1세의 기마상은 프라하 시민들에게는 가장 대중적인 '만남의 장소'이기도 하다.
