푸이 (1906-1967

중국 역사상 마지막 황제로 널리 알려져 있고 도광제의 증손자이다. 푸이는 고작 2세의 나이로 청나라 황제에 오르지만 위안스카이와 쑨원과의 협약에 따라 이내 퇴위한다. 협약의 내용에 따라 외국 군주의 대접에 준하여 청나라의 황제 대우를 받지만 자금성 내에서만 한정(청나라 소조정)될 뿐이었다. 펑위샹의 쿠데타로 인해 자금성에서 쫓겨난 푸이는 일본의 도움을 받아 만주국의 황제에 오르지만 사실상 일본의 괴뢰국가로 황제로서의 실권은 거의 보장되지 않았다. 일본의 패전 이후 중화인민공화국의 포로로 잡혀 수용 생활 이후 인민정치협상회의의 전국위원을 지냈다.

Puyi (1906-1967)

Puyi or Pu Yi, of the Manchu Aisin Gioro clan, was the last Emperor of China and the twelfth and final ruler of the Qing dynasty. When he was a child, he reigned as the Xuantong Emperor in China and Khevt Yos Khaan in Mongolia from 1908 until his forced abdication on 12 February 1912, after the Xinhai Revolution. From 1 to 12 July 1917, he was briefly restored to the throne as emperor by the warlord Zhang Xun.
