아메데오 모딜리아니 (1884-1920)

아메데오 모딜리아니는 이탈리아의 화가이다. 모딜리아니는 폴 세잔와 툴루즈 로트렉의 영향을 받았다. 그는 항상 인물만을 그렸는데 파리의 뒷거리에 사는 가난한 사람들 및 여성의 나체 등을 즐겨 그렸다. 그의 인물화는 가늘고 긴 목이나 달걀 모양의 얼굴을 가는 선으로 둘러 독특한 기품과 아름다움을 나타냈다.

Amedeo Modigliani (1884-1920)

Amedeo Clemente Modigliani was an Italian-Jewish painter and sculptor who worked mainly in France. He is known for portraits and nudes in a modern style characterized by elongation of faces, necks, and figures that were not received well during his lifetime but later found acceptance. Modigliani spent his youth in Italy, where he studied the art of antiquity and the Renaissance. In 1906 he moved to Paris, where he came into contact with such artists as Pablo Picasso and Constantin Brâncuși.

잔 에뷔테른 (1898-1920)

잔 에뷔테른은 프랑스의 화가이며, 이탈리아 화가 아메데오 모딜리아니의 아내이다. 모딜리아니가 1920년 1월 24일 사망하자 당시 잔느는 임신 중이었는데, 슬픔을 이기지 못 하고 다음 날인 1월 25일 5층 건물에서 뛰어내렸다. 당시 잔느의 가족은 모딜리아니가 죽었다고 해서 따라 죽은 것을 비난했으나 10여 년 후, 그녀의 가족들은 잔느를 페르 라 셰즈에 있는 모딜리아니의 옆에 묻어주었다.

Jeanne Hébuterne (1898-1920)

Jeanne Hébuternewas a French artist, best known as the frequent subject and common-law wife of the artist Amedeo Modigliani. On 24 January 1920 Amedeo Modigliani died. Jeanne Hébuterne's family brought her to their home but Jeanne threw herself out of the fifth-floor apartment window two days after Modigliani's death, killing herself and her unborn child.

Nu couché (also known in English as Red Nude or Reclining Nude) is a 1917 oil on canvas painting by the Italian artist Amedeo Modigliani. It is one of his most widely reproduced and exhibited paintings.
