베이터우 온천박물관

일본 통치시기의 유명한 온천 공중욕탕으로 영국 튜더왕조 시기의 향촌 건축스타일로 지어졌다. 베이터우는 1894년 독일 국적의 유황 상인 Ouely씨가 베이터우에 온천을 토대로 클럽을 만들어 베이터우 온천이 개발되기 시작했다.하여 1896년 일본 오사카 상인이 베이터우 온천이 품질이 좋고 관광 가치가 있다고 판단, 대만 제1호 온천여행사 "天狗庵"을 설립하기에 이른다. 2차 대전 이후 온천은 방치됐었지만 지역 주민들의 노력 끝에 1998년 시정부에서 온천테마로 박물관을 기획해 10월 31일 베이터우 온천박물관이 정식 오픈하게 되었다.

Beitou Hot Spring Museum

The construction of the building started in 1911 and completed in 1913 during the Japanese rule of Taiwan. It was initially built as Hokutō Public Bathhouse, the largest bathhouse in East Asia at that time. After the handover of Taiwan from Japan to the Republic of China in 1945, the facility underwent several transformations, from police station, Kuomintang headquarter, to a reception house for local county administration called the Zhongshan House. However, the building was eventually closed and abandoned due to the corrosion caused by the hot springs and lack of proper maintenance.
