나이아가라 폭포
나이아가라 폭포는 캐나다 온타리오주와 미국 뉴욕주의 경계에 위치한 거대한 폭포 군으로 크게 세 부분으로 나뉜다. 가장 유명한 말발굽 폭포(호스슈 폭포)는 캐나다 쪽에 위치하며, 미국 쪽에 있는 아메리칸 폭포와 그 옆의 작은 면사포 폭포는 날카로운 직선의 미학을 보여준다. 이 세 폭포가 쏟아내는 물의 양은 초당 수천 톤에 달하며, 그 소리는 주변 공기를 진동시킬 정도로 압도적이다.
