아니 고고학 유적지

‘아니 고고학 유적지’는 아르메니아와의 사이에 천연의 국경선 역할을 하는 좁은 골짜기를 굽어보고 있는 터키 북동쪽의 한 외딴 고원에 있다. 이 중세 도시에는 수세기에 걸쳐 처음에는 기독교, 다음에는 무슬림 왕조가 완성한 구조물로서 중세 도시계획의 특징이 드러나는 주거용, 종교용, 군사용 구조물이 있다.

Ani

Ani is a ruined medieval Armenian city now situated in Turkey's province of Kars, next to the closed border with Armenia. Between 961 and 1045, it was the capital of the Bagratid Armenian kingdom that covered much of present-day Armenia and eastern Turkey.
