세비야 대성당

세비야 대성당은 스페인의 세비야에 위치해 있는 가장 큰 대성당으로, 크리스토퍼 콜롬버스의 관이 있다. 12세기에 지어진 이슬람 사원을 부수고 지은 것이며 1402년부터 100여 년 동안에 걸쳐 만들어졌기 때문에 이슬람 건축과 고딕, 르네상스 양식이 조화를 이루고 있다.

The Seville Cathedral, is a Roman Catholic cathedral in Seville. It was registered in 1987 by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, along with the adjoining Alcázar palace complex and the General Archive of the Indies. "See" refers to the episcopal see, i.e., the bishop's ecclesiastical jurisdiction.

크리스토퍼 콜럼버스 (1451-1506)

크리스토퍼 콜럼버스는 이탈리아 제노바 출신의 탐험가이자 항해가이다. 1484년 포르투갈의 왕 주앙 2세에게 대서양 항해 탐험을 제안하고 지원을 요청하였으나, 희망봉 루트를 준비 중이던 왕이 허락하지 않자, 스페인으로 갔다.
