문나르 차밭

인도 남부 케랄라주의 문나르는 해발 1,600m에 위치한 세계적인 홍차 생산지로 끝없이 펼쳐진 녹색 차밭과 서늘한 기후로 남인도의 스위스라 불린다. 이 지역은 인도의 중요한 차 재배 중심지로 19세기 말 영국 식민시대에 본격적으로 차 농사가 시작되어 지금도 넓은 차밭이 형성되어 있다. 차밭은 구불구불한 언덕을 따라 끝없이 이어져, 초록빛 카펫처럼 풍경 전체를 덮고 있어 여행자들에게 인도 차 문화와 자연 풍경을 동시에 즐길 수 있는 명소다.

Munnar

Munnar is a town and hill station located in the Idukki district of the southwestern Indian state of Kerala. Munnar is situated at around 1,600 metres (5,200 ft) above mean sea level, in the Western Ghats mountain range. Munnar is also called the "Kashmir of South India" and is a favorite destination for honeymoon.
