매리설산

가장 아름다운 중국명산 13중 두번째인 매리설산은 티베트 불교의 8대 성산 중 하나이다. 피라미드모양의 설산과 영롱한 빙하, 설산의 품속에 안긴 동네들이 비경이다. 현지에서는 매리설산을 태자설산이라 부르며 해발 6,000m 높이의 설산이 13개가 있다고 해서 태자십삼봉으로도 불리운다. 그 중 해발 6,740m의 정상은 티베트 불교 신도들로부터 신의 산으로 인정된다.

Meili Snow Mountains

Meili Xue Shan or Mainri Snow Mountain is a mountain range in the Chinese province of Yunnan. It lies close to the northwestern boundary of the province and is bounded by the Salween River on the west and the Mekong on the east. The Meili are subrange of the larger Nu Mountains, themselves a constituent range of the Hengduan group.
