한신 타이거스

한신 타이거스는 센트럴 리그 소속으로 현존하는 일본 프로 야구 12개 구단 중 요미우리 자이언츠에 이어 2번째로 역사가 긴 구단이다. 1935년에 오사카 타이거스(大阪タイガース)라는 이름으로 창단하여 단일 리그 시대에 4차례 우승, 1950년에 양대 리그가 출범한 이후 센트럴 리그 우승 5번을 기록하여 총 9번의 리그 우승을 기록했다. 현재 효고현 니시노미야 시에 위치한 한신 고시엔 구장을 홈 구장으로 사용하고 있다.

Hanshin Tigers

The Hanshin Tigers are a Nippon Professional Baseball team playing in the Central League. The team is based in Koshien, Nishinomiya, Hyōgo Prefecture, Japan, and are owned by Hanshin Electric Railway Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Hankyu Hanshin Holdings Inc. The Hanshin Tigers are one of the oldest professional clubs in Japan. They played their first season in 1936 as the Osaka Tigers and assumed their current team name in 1961.
