순천만 습지

순천시 교량동과 대대동, 해룡면의 중흥리, 해창리 선학리 등에 걸쳐 있는 순천만 갈대밭의 총 면적은 약 15만평에 달한다. 순천 시내를 관통하는 동천과 순천시 상사면에서 흘러 온 이사천의 합수 지점부터 하구에 이르는 3㎞ 쯤의 물길양쪽이 죄다 갈대밭으로 뒤덮혀 있다. 2021년 유네스코세계자연유산에 등재되었다.

Getbol, Korean Tidal Flats

Situated in the eastern Yellow Sea on the southwestern and southern coast of the Republic of Korea, the site comprises four component parts: Seocheon Getbol, Gochang Getbol, Shinan Getbol and Boseong-Suncheon Getbol. The site exhibits a complex combination of geological, oceanographic and climatologic conditions that have led to the development of coastal diverse sedimentary systems.
