신안갯벌
신안갯벌은 연안 가까이에 위치한 섬이 갯벌 형성에 영향을 주어 국내에서 가장 넓은 갯벌을 형성하고 있으며, 세계 최고수준의 해조류와 다양한 대형 저서동물이 서식하고 있다. 신안갯벌은 다도해의 특성상 파랑이 작고 퇴적이 활발하여 넓은 펄갯벌을 형성하고 있으며, 갯벌의 퇴적층이 25m 이상의 깊은 갯벌을 형성하고 있다. 신안갯벌은 넓은 펄갯벌 이외에도 혼합갯벌, 모래갯벌, 해빈과 사구, 사취, 자갈해빈 등 연속유산 구성요소 중 가장 다양한 서식지을 보유하고 있으며, 많은 무인도는 훼손되지 않은 철새들의 번식지와 서식지를 제공하고 있다.

Getbol, Korean Tidal Flats
Situated in the eastern Yellow Sea on the southwestern and southern coast of the Republic of Korea, the site comprises four component parts: Seocheon Getbol, Gochang Getbol, Shinan Getbol and Boseong-Suncheon Getbol. The site exhibits a complex combination of geological, oceanographic and climatologic conditions that have led to the development of coastal diverse sedimentary systems.
