악양루

악양루는 강남사대명루의 하나로 손꼽힌다. 삼국시대 오나라의 명장 노숙이 군사적 목적으로 만든 누각으로 당나라 때 악주의 태수 장열이 이곳을 수리하여 다시 세우면서 악양루라고 이름을 고쳐지었고 그 이후 문인들의 시를 읊는 유명한 장소가 되었다. 예로부터 많은 문학작품 속에서 악양루와 동정호는 찬사를 받아왔다. 두보의 시 '악양루에 올라'가 유명하다. 악양루에 올라 사방을 바라보면 끝없이 푸른 물위에 흰 돛배 떠돌고 물속에 흰 구름이 흘러가는 모습이 장관이다.

Yueyang Tower

Yueyang Tower is an ancient Chinese tower in Yueyang, Hunan Province, on the shore of Lake Dongting. Alongside the Pavilion of Prince Teng and Yellow Crane Tower, it is one of the Three Great Towers of Jiangnan. Yueyang Tower became famous for Memorial to Yueyang Tower written by Fan Zhongyan, an eminent minister of the Northern Song dynasty (960–1127) in China.
