버즈 알 아랍

부르즈 알-아랍 (버즈 알 아랍)은 아랍에미리트 두바이에 위치한 최고급 호텔로 부르즈 알 아랍은 주메이라 해변에서 조금 떨어진 인공섬 위에 건축되었는데, 두바이와는 곡선 모양의 전용 교량을 통해서 연결된다. 건물은 배의 부풀어오른 돛 모양을 형상화했으며, 두바이의 발전상을 대표하고 있다. 사이드 칼리가 건설하였으며, 현재는 주메이라 그룹이 이 호텔을 운영하고 있다. 건물은 WS 앳킨스 PLC의 탐 라이트(Tom Wright)가 설계하였다. 2008년 6월에 로즈 타워가 세계 최고 높이의 호텔로 등극하였다.

Burj Al Arab

The Burj Al Arab is a luxury hotel located in the city of Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Managed by Jumeirah hotel group, it is one of the tallest hotels in the world, although 39% of its total height is made up of non-occupiable space. Burj Al Arab stands on an artificial island that is 280m from Jumeirah Beach and is connected to the mainland by a private curving bridge. The shape of the structure is designed to resemble the sail of a ship. It has a helipad near the roof, at a height of 210m above ground.
