이타즈케 유적

일본 최초로 벼농사를 지었던 야요이 시대의 마을로, 가장 오래된 이중 환호 취락. 평탄한 고지 위의 마을은 동서 80m, 남북 110m의 V자형 깊은 도랑에 둘러싸여 있다. 평탄한 고지의 테두리를 따라 용수로가 있으며 동서로 논이 펼쳐져 있다. 관련 시설인 "이타즈케 유적・야요이관"과 "논 복원지"에서 벼 농사의 역사를 체험하면서 야요이 시대의 생활 등을 학습할 수 있다.

Itazuke Ruins

Itazuke is a village from the Yayoi period, the era in which Japan first began rice agriculture. It is the oldest settlement with two moats in Japan. The village is located on a plateau, spanning 80m east to west and 110m north to south, and is surrounded by a V-shaped ditch. Along the edge of the plateau run irrigation canals from which rice paddies extend to the east and west. At institutions related to the village, such as Itazu Ruins-Yayoi Hall and the historically reconstructed rice paddies, one can learn about life in the Yayoi period while experiencing the history of rice agriculture.
