테레사 수녀 (1910.8.26-1997.9.5)

테레사 수녀는 인도의 로마 가톨릭교회 수녀로, 1950년에 인도의 콜카타에서 사랑의 선교회라는 기독교 계통 비정부기구를 설립하였다. 이후 45년간 사랑의 선교회를 통해 빈민과 병자, 고아, 그리고 죽어가는 이들을 위해 인도와 다른 나라들에서 헌신하였다. 본명은 아녜저 곤제 보야지우이다. 2016년 9월 4일 성인으로 시성되었다.

Mother Teresa was an Albanian-Indian Roman Catholic nun and missionary. She was born in Skopje (now the capital of Macedonia), then part of the Kosovo Vilayet of the Ottoman Empire. After living in Macedonia for eighteen years she moved to Ireland and then to India, where she lived for most of her life.
