십리대숲

울산 태화교와 삼호교 사이 태화강 양편에 형성된 대숲으로 길이가 무려 4㎞(폭20~30m)나 되어 태화강 십리대숲이라 한다. 이 대숲은 일제시대 잦은 홍수 범람으로 농경지 피해가 많아짐에 따라, 주민들이 홍수 방지용으로 대나무를 심음으로 인해 생긴 백사장위의 나무가 오늘의 십리대숲으로 변했다.

Simli Bamboo Grove

In addition to the Simni Bamboo Grove, the Taehwagang River is a habitat for over 700 species of plants and animals such as white herons, swans, otters and raccoons, along with indigenous fish including salmon and sweetfish. Also, Taehwagang Migratory Bird Park located on the river's estuary is the largest urban migratory bird sanctuary in Korea.
