암스테르담 운하

암스테르담 운하는 네덜란드 암스테르담에 있는 운하의 총칭으로, 100km 이상의 운하와 약 90 개의 섬, 그리고 1,500여개 다리로 구성되어 있다. 주요 운하인 헤런 운하, 프린선 운하, 케이저르 운하는 모두 17세기에 굴착한 것으로, 도시 주위를 동심원 모양으로 둘러싸고 있다.

Amstrerdam Canals

Amsterdam, capital of the Netherlands, has more than one hundred kilometers of grachten, about 90 islands and 1,500 bridges. The three main canals, dug in the 17th century during the Dutch Golden Age, form concentric belts around the city, known as the Grachtengordel. Alongside the main canals are 1550 monumental buildings. The 17th-century canal ring area, including the Prinsengracht, Keizersgracht, Herengracht and Jordaan, were listed as UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2010, contributing to Amsterdam's fame as the "Venice of the North".

마헤레 다리

마헤러 브뤼흐는 네덜란드 암스테르담에 위치한 다리이다. 다리 이름은 네덜란드어로 "얇은 다리"를 뜻한다. 암스테르담 운하의 케이저르 운하와 프린선 운하 사이에 위치한다. 1691년에 완공된 도개교로서 하얀색으로 칠한 나무로 만든 것이 특징이다. 원래는 13개의 아치를 가진 다리였지만 1871년에 9개의 아치를 가진 다리로 교체되었다. 1934년에 현재의 다리가 완공되었다. 2003년부터는 차량 통행이 제한되고 있으며 보행자, 자전거 전용 도로로 사용되고 있다. 선박이 통행하는 동안에는 다리를 들어올린다.

Magere Brug

The Magere Brug is a bridge over the river Amstel in Amsterdam, Netherlands. It connects the banks of the river at Kerkstraat, between the Keizersgracht and Prinsengracht. The central section of the Magere Brug is a bascule bridge made of white-painted wood. The present bridge was built in 1934. The first bridge at this site was built in 1691 as Kerkstraatbrug and had 13 arches. Because this bridge was very narrow, the locals called it magere brug, which literally means "skinny bridge".
