소식 (1037-1101)

소식은 중국 북송 시대의 시인이자 문장가, 학자, 정치가이다. 자는 자첨이고 호는 동파거사였다. 흔히 소동파라고 부른다. 쓰촨성 미산현에서 태어났다. 시, 사, 부, 산문 등 모두에 능해 당송팔대가의 한 사람으로 손꼽혔다.

Su Shi (1037-1101)

Su Shi was a Chinese writer, poet, painter, calligrapher, pharmacologist, gastronome, and a statesman of the Song dynasty. A major personality of the Song era, Su was an important figure in Song Dynasty politics, aligning himself with Sima Guang and others, against the New Policy party led by Wang Anshi.
