아우구스투스 영묘

아우구스투스 영묘는 기원전 28년에 아우구스투스 일가의 무덤으로 사용하기 위하여 로마의 마르스 광장에 지어진 건축물이다. 현재는 오랜 세월동안의 풍화와 부주의함으로 인해 황폐화되었고, 관광객들에게는 공개되어있지 않다. 하지만, 그 터는 여전히 인상적이며, 마르스 광장의 북쪽 지역의 랜드마크이다. 2018년 현재 복원공사를 하고 있으며 2019년에 완료하여 시민들에게 개방한다고 한다.

Mausoleum of Augustus

The Mausoleum of Augustus is a large tomb built by the Roman Emperor Augustus in 28 BC on the Campus Martius in Rome, Italy. The mausoleum is located on the Piazza Augusto Imperatore, near the corner with Via di Ripetta as it runs along the Tiber. The grounds cover an area equivalent to a few city blocks, and nestle between the church of San Carlo al Corso and the Museum of the Ara Pacis.
