제로니무스 수도원

리스본 항구 입구에 서 있는 제로니무스(이에로니미테스, Hieronymites) 수도원은 포르투갈 예술의 백미로 꼽히는 건축물로서 1502년에 건설되었다. 수도원 부근에 있는 벨렝(Belém) 탑은 바스코 다가마(Vasco da Gama)의 원정을 기리는 기념탑이며, 현대 항로 발전에 기여한 위대한 발견을 기념하는 건축물이다.

Jeronimos Monastery
