라오메이 해변

해변 암초에 해조류가 가득 뒤덮이고 멀리서 바라보면 온통 초록색으로 보여 라오메이 석조를 녹색 해초암이라고도 부르고 있다. 타이완에서 보기 드문 특별한 경관으로 많은 사진 애호가나 관광객들이 이곳을 찾고 있으며, 이러한 아름다운 경관은 보통 3월 중순에서 5월 초순까지 이어지며, 특히 4월 청명절 기간에 최고 절정을 이룬다. 전체 해안의 암초들 사이에 해조류가 가득 붙어 자라며 "녹색 해초암"을 형성하고 전체 해안을 선명한 녹색 봄빛으로 물들이게 된다. 석조는 지질학적 명사로서 일반적인 해안은 모래사장이나 암석 혹은 해조류로 구성되어 있겠지만, 라오메이 석조는 부드러운 모래사장과 매우 아름답게 조각된 침식 암석을 동시에 갖추고 있어, 마치 여윈 녹색의 돌고래들이 백사장에 줄지어 누워있는 듯한 경관을 자아낸다.

Laomei Green Reef

Laomei Green Reef is located on the North Coast near the Laomei Community in Shimen District. Every April and May after the northeast monsoons die down, algae covers the neat rows of stone troughs here with a vibrant green, creating a rare and spectacular sight. As the weather warms, the seaweed gradually disappears with exposure to the sun. The algae-covered rocks are extremely slippery and dangerous. Visitors are reminded to not to walk on them.
